The event, featuring award-winning vocalist Christine Tobin, kicks off at 8pm at The Cooler. The evening begins with Irish Women in Jazz's Jennifer McMahon in conversation with Tobin, followed by a full set with her stellar band: Phil Robson (guitar), Neil Ó Loclainn (double bass), and Dominic Mullan (drums).
About Christine Tobin
Dublin-born Christine Tobin is a multi-award-winning vocalist and composer celebrated for her eclectic sound, which blends jazz, folk, and European art song traditions. Described by The Guardian as having a “24-carat voice,” Tobin is known for her poetic compositions and rich, expressive range. Her accolades include a British Composer Award, Parliamentary Jazz Award for Jazz Vocalist of the Year, and recognition for her projects interpreting the works of Leonard Cohen and WB Yeats.
Tobin has performed internationally at iconic venues like Birdland in NYC and at festivals worldwide. Since returning to Ireland in 2020, she has continued to captivate audiences across the country, including performances at the National Concert Hall, the Masters of Tradition Festival, and a nationwide album tour in 2023.
