For this our final show The Complex, in association with Improvised Music Company, is proud to present Aengus Hackett and Mike Nielsen as they perform the works of the legendary Cole Porter.
Aengus Hackett graduated from the world renowned Conservatory of Amsterdam where he studied with the likes of Van Ruller and Wayne Krantz . Since returning to Ireland, to pursue his musical passions, Hackett has worked with the cream of the Irish Jazz scene including Conor Guilfoyle and Tommy Halferty as well as U.S pianist Bertha Hope
Mike Nielsen who makes up the second half of this amazing duo is known for his innovated performances and his exploration of musical theory. Nielsen has graced the stage with leading Irish and international Jazz performers including Dave Liebman, Larry Coryell, Joe Lovano to name but a few.
Since collaborating together the two have toured Ireland performing at various events and festivals, including the prestigious Galway Jazz Festival. They have passion for music and bring a unique energy to all their performances.
So come on down to The Complex this Monday and treat yourself to the sounds of Cole Porter as performed by two of Ireland's Ireland leading Jazz guitarists within the intimate setting of The Depot.
