A QUESTION MARK HANGS OVER GAZA is a poignant exhibition of life for children in Gaza. The exhibition in its physical format will journey across different countries in 2025.
Supported by the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) and produced by UNICEF, A QUESTION MARK HANGS OVER GAZA is a photo exhibition that showcases the situation of Palestinian children as seen through the lenses of those who meet them daily. It sheds light on the critical need for a ceasefire and a just and lasting solution for all children in the region. It also highlights the critical support provided by ECHO and UNICEF.
Who captures the stories?
In the context of the continued war, foreign international journalists and photographers are still not allowed to enter the Gaza Strip independently. As a result, Palestinian journalists and photographers are the only eyes, witnesses, and voices of this conflict. Their cameras have been the only window through which the world can glimpse the harsh reality on the ground.
In addition to their photographs, their recordings have played a crucial role in shaping the exhibition's soundscape. All ambient audio comes from field recordings, with any missing or damaged sounds carefully recreated to reflect the original environment as accurately as possible.
