The Complex announces yet another 'The Depot Sessions'. These curated live music nights at The Depot feature a diverse lineup of Irish bands and artists across all genres. The events showcase emerging talent and established acts in a raw industrial warehouse setting that uniquely morphs into the ambience of each act. The sessions are widely known for their stunning audio-visual experience and have built a strong following since their inception in June 2024.
KIRKOS is one of The Complex's newest studio members, operating from 1 Little Green Street. They are a new music group from Dublin, Ireland and operate a DIY venue with a radically open approach to programming. They focus on trying to develop the ecosystem that thrives at the fringes of Irish new music and high-concept performances.
Threading the line between experimental music and contemporary classical music, they rarely do straightforward concerts, preferring to incorporate every part of the audience’s experience into their thinking about music. Work is devised collaboratively and influences from theatre, visual art and performance art are a big part of what they do.
It is part of a DIY movement, making up for the lack of affordable cultural space available in Dublin city. Booking is open to artists from all genres and backgrounds, and they give the space away for free wherever possible.
Drawing on John Cage’s Happenings and the Fluxus movement, Kirkos and collaborators will use The Depot as an open space, performing throughout the venue and around the audience.
Tickets are available now. Early booking is strongly recommended.
