In light of recent events, whereby The Complex has been given one month's notice to quit, just before Christmas, it is timely to take a look back at how a once-dilapidated space was breathed new life into, creating the only venue of its kind in the city.

The Complex has been housed on Arran Street East and Mary's Abbey since June 2017, and has been in operation since 2008. It comprises The Depot performance space, The Gallery and 18 artists' studios filled with visual artists, designers, musicians and theatre-makers.
