The Complex proudly hosts Dublin Independent Fashion Week, now in its third year, for one of its headline fashion shows: BECOMING. The Complex is committed to being a home for independent and grassroots creativity and art on the north side of the Liffey.
BECOMING is a fashion performance that unfolds across three distinct acts, each designed by a leading female Irish designer and brought to life through movement, music, and immersive staging. It reimagines the runway as a ritual space, where fashion, movement, and sound come together to celebrate Irish creativity and the joy of becoming fully, defiantly yourself.
This collective showcase highlights the bold, distinctive visions of three of DIFW’s founding members:
Megan McGuigan (Seeking Judy)
Sarah O’Neill (The Zero Waster)
Staged at The Complex, Dublin, BECOMING is a ceremonial journey through transformation, rebellion, and release, told through fashion. The evening will celebrate the originality and innovation of the designers who established Dublin Independent Fashion Week as a platform for independent voices in Irish fashion.
The show is produced and directed by Zeda the Architect, with accessory and set design by 5178, underscoring DIFW’s commitment to cross-disciplinary creativity, blending fashion, performance, art, and music. Live music throughout the show will be provided by Fortune and Vatican Jail, alongside a dynamic dance performance by circus artist Shane O’Leary.
Adding to the experience, Shaba will be on-site serving Turkish Lahmacun and a selection of plant-based mezes alongside it from their food truck at 50% off for ticket holders. Shaba is an independent street food business operating across all of Ireland. It brings the bold, rich flavours of traditional Turkish cuisine into the heart of modern street culture.
An official afterparty follows the show, featuring a special set by Efa O’Neill.
