Cormac McCarthy Live at The Complex

For the second of our three Jazz Mondays in association with Improvised Music Company we are pleased to welcome Jazz pianist Cormac McCarthy to The Complex this Monday night (24th of October) at The Depot.

Raised in a musical household McCarthy found his calling with Jazz and made the trip across the Atlantic to study Jazz Piano in glitzy Chicago with the prestigious Bill Whelan International Music Bursary.

As a pianist, composer and arranger McCarthy has always been in high demand working with the likes of RTE Concert Orchestra, Martin Hayes’ Common Ground Ensemble, Donal Lunny, Nell Ní Chróinín and many more.

Along with these collaborations McCarthy has also worked and produced his own solo music and albums.

With his up coming second album 'On The Other Hand' McCarthy has brought his own voice to the fore. A captivating mix of different genres and musical styles McCarthy has created a unique and original sound that is all his own.
