Roger O Neill’s semi representational paintings form “almost landscapes” where geometric forms and shapes are presented, reformed and combined with constructed objects.

They have been assembled and welded from materials directly sourced from Dublin City, which have been collected, stored and archived. Referencing Abstract Expressionism, the physical nature of the painted works responds to long contemplative research.

Each individual work takes on and physically presents the action of construction within its own self.

Roger O’Neill was born in Dublin in 1970 where he continues to live and work. He studied art at IADT, Dun Laoghaire.
