Jess Kav is a genre-defying soul artist and multidisciplinary performer hailing from Dublin, whose creative practice sits at the crossroads of music, activism, and personal evolution. A graduate of London’s Institute of Contemporary Music Performance and Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Jess has carved out a path rooted in songwriting, live performance, recording, authorship, and social engagement.

Renowned for blending soaring vocals with raw, introspective lyricism, Jess’s work is deeply informed by Ireland’s vibrant artistic landscape, yet continues to resonate across international audiences. Her acclaimed one-woman show, Fermented Dreams (September 2024), offered a compelling mix of humor, honesty, and emotional depth, charting the inner life of a 40-year-old artist wrestling with burnout and creative uncertainty. The performance struck a chord with audiences, examining the fragile interplay between artistic drive, identity, and the demands of contemporary existence.

With past collaborations with artists such as Hozier, The Waterboys, and Villagers, Jess brings a magnetic presence to major stages while maintaining an unwavering intimacy in her art. She has contributed to award-winning works including Hot Brown Honey’s Hive City Legacy, and is a founding force behind the Dirty Laundry Collective an experimental ensemble committed to breaking boundaries and confronting urgent social themes through art.

Her recent releases—"Genesis" (October 2024), "Diary Song" (Feb 2024), and "January Lullaby" (January 2025)—use her original compositions to tell stories of resilience, vulnerability, and transformation. These tracks come to life in her live performances with a full band, where her raw emotional depth and energetic presence stand out. Jess's work speaks directly to the creative heart of the modern artist, where art, music, and activism converge, making her a voice that resonates across borders.
