Building on the success of their tour exploring James Joyce’s Ulysses, Janet Moran and Ronan Guilfoyle reunite for a new collaboration, this time delving into the complexities of Joyce’s final novel, Finnegans Wake. Janet, an award-winning actor and playwright, and Ronan, one of Ireland’s foremost jazz musicians with an illustrious international career spanning over four decades, join forces once more. Earwicker’s Dream is a unique concert experience that fuses spoken word, jazz composition, and improvisation, offering a fresh take on the novel’s central characters.

Joyce’s brilliant prose will be brought to life by an exceptional ensemble, featuring the legendary guitarist Nguyen Le - a towering figure in French jazz known for creating boundary-pushing projects with music from diverse traditions and languages. The lineup also includes Michael Buckley, Ireland’s premier jazz saxophonist, alongside the inventive Irish drummer Matthew Jacobson, rounding out the group.

This performance promises a rich mix of humour, emotion, and profound insights into Joyce’s world, all brought together by a top-tier improvisational band at the height of their craft.
