Solax Film Club Presents '3 Faces'

The Solax Film Club will be holding a screening of Iranian film “3 Faces” in The Cooler at The Complex on Wednesday 23rd November.

The event starts at 19.30 and will be followed by an audience discussion of the film.

Tickets for the screening are €10 and can be purchased from eventbrite

The bar will be open so you can grab a drink to enjoy the movie with.

3 Faces is a 2018 Iranian film directed by Jafar Panahi. This whimsical road movie tells the story of actress Behnaz Jafari and her friend Jafar Panahi as they search for a young girl named Marziyeh after seeing a video of her seeking for help to escape her conservative family.

This timely movie, short in Northern Iran, takes a look at traditional values and the role of women in Iran

'3 Faces' has won several international awards including:

The Golden Orange at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, the Douglas Sirk Award at the Hamburg Film Festival, the Leon Cakoff Prize at the São Paulo International Film Festival, as well as the prize for best screen play at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018
