The Complex welcomes Ríona Sally Hartman to present the Úlla Búlla Band at The Cooler, with Improvised Music Company.
The Úlla Búlla Band will play a collection of brand-new children’s music, created through inspiring workshops with children in various settings. These songs are designed to introduce children—and their grown-ups—to the magic of improvisation, the world of jazz, and the art of creative songwriting.
Together with Ríona and her musician friends, participants can make improvised music, creating movement, pictures, and sounds that they like for Ríona and the band to improvise around.
Ríona has a wealth of experience making music with and for children. She is the musical director and lead performer of The National Concert Hall’s Echo band, which has been performing sold-out shows for families and schools for a decade.
