August Weekend Film Making Kabaret
From absolute beginners to seasoned experts. This event is open to anyone willing to get involved in the filmmaking process. We will facilitate the completion of all movies but participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment: Cameras, lenses, sound recorders, microphones, lights, computers for editing, props, costumes, makeup and so on.

Friday August 16th
Workshop
3-5pm - Independent Filmmaking with Terry McMahon
Terry is an IFTA winning Writer, Director & Producer, best known for feature films Charlie Casanova and Patrick's Day. He is a pillar of the Irish Film industry with tonnes of experience to share with Kinoites and budding filmmakers. Terry will present an introduction to Directing and the career path of a professional Director.
Main Event
The evening will begin with introductions and the pitching session starting at 7.30pm. Participants will have the chance to pitch their film ideas to the group, followed by networking in the Lab. This event offers a valuable opportunity to meet other filmmakers, form partnerships, brainstorm, and get involved in projects that pique your interest. Directors can commence rehearsals with their actors, coordinate the shoot with their crew, or even begin filming right away.
Saturday August 17th
On Saturday, there will be a shooting day at the lab, which will be open from 9am to 11pm for teams to gather, store equipment, or simply hangout.
Sunday 18th
Screening 5pm
Doors open from 4:30pm and we will start screening your films at 5pm.
